About SMFM
The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) is the leading provider of clinical guidance, education, and advocacy for maternal-fetal medicine professionals and their patients. For over 40 years, SMFM has remained the only professional society exclusively focused on maternal-fetal medicine. SMFM’s accredited continuing medical education program operates under the strictest scientific integrity and is committed to providing the highest quality education to both members and nonmembers.

Postgraduate Courses
The SMFM Postgraduate Course curriculum offers education on both clinical and non-clinical topics, including genetic screening and diagnostics, medical management and complications during pregnancy, risk management strategies and critical care, record efficiency and data analytics, quality improvement and safety outcomes, institutional advocacy, and equitable approaches to reproductive health services within the practice of maternal-fetal medicine.

Our Accreditation Provider
In support of improving patient care, the Postgraduate Courses have been planned and implemented by the Global Learning Collaborative (GLC) and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM). GLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

GLC designates this live and enduring activity for a maximum of 102.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Instructions for Participation and Claiming Credit
Each postgraduate course is designed to be completed within the time designated on the course outline. To successfully earn credit, learners must complete the live activity in-person during the valid credit period noted on the course outline. To receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™, learners must complete the post-meeting evaluation. Physicians should claim only those credits that reflect the time actually spent in the activity.

Other Credits Available

A Credit Certificate (for physicians) or Certificate of Participation (for nonphysicians) will be provided to individuals seeking credit from the following organizations that accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Note that participants are advised to contact their certifying body for specific information regarding credit submissions:
