Original research not completed until after the August 5, 2024, general abstract submission deadline for the Pregnancy Meeting ™ may be eligible for submission as a late-breaking abstract. Late-breaking abstracts should meet the guidelines for abstracts considered in the general submission and also meet the following criteria:
The research must be new and of sufficient scientific importance to merit special consideration after the standard abstract deadline.
Abstracts should describe large clinical studies or high-impact translational research that could not be completed before the original deadline.
Clinical studies must be prospective in design.
Late-breaking abstracts cannot be a revision of an abstract submitted before the original submission deadline.
Submitters no longer need their SMFM login credentials to access the submission site.
Call For Judges
The SMFM Program Committee welcomes all members to apply to volunteer to judge abstract presentations during the 2025 Pregnancy Meeting. No prior experience scientifically evaluating research is necessary; we are looking for those who can evaluate research from all perspectives, from researchers to clinicians. Judging the science presented at the Pregnancy Meeting also provides a way to engage with SMFM for those who may not have the bandwidth for committee service.
The deadline to apply is Monday, November 11, 2024.
