Fetal therapy-related issues are often identified during routine examinations conducted by specialists in Maternal Fetal Medicine. This course aims to provide guidance on when to consider fetal interventions to enhance the care of the maternal-fetal dyad facing a prenatal diagnosis of congenital anomalies or physiological disruptions. It will highlight paradigms in prenatal diagnosis and utilize image-based algorithms to improve obstetric and neonatal outcomes for pregnant individuals with conditions suitable for maternal-fetal surgery. The curriculum will cover specific categories of prenatal diagnoses, strategies for determining when to make referrals, available options at fetal therapy centers, and the postoperative strategies for maternal-fetal care that are implemented. This course is designed to unite professionals interested in maternal-fetal medicine, clinical genetics, prenatal imaging, maternal-fetal surgery, neonatology, and pediatric surgery.
