This course is designed to address key controversies in maternal-fetal medicine that are of significant interest to most MFM specialists. These unresolved issues impact everyday clinical practice for most MFM doctors. The course brings together experts on various topics, who will present comprehensive, evidence-based reviews of the current literature and offer their unique expert opinions and perspectives on the pros and cons of each highly engaging topic.
The selected topics are diverse but were chosen carefully due to their relevance and importance to the majority of MFMs. These debates will explore questions such as "Why do we do it this way?" or "Should we do this or that?"
The proposed course will consist of a series of debates, each focusing on a specific, unresolved issue in maternal-fetal medicine. Each debate will feature two experts presenting opposing viewpoints, followed by a moderated discussion and audience Q&A session. This format will encourage active participation and critical thinking, allowing attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in these controversies.
By offering a platform for rigorous debate and discussion, this course aims to foster a more nuanced understanding of these critical issues and contribute to the advancement of maternal-fetal medicine. We believe that this course will be a valuable addition to the annual meeting, providing attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate these complex topics in their clinical practice.
