My name is Yadira Bribiesca Leon and I am a current OBGYN resident at the Keck School of Medicine-LA General Hospital located in Los Angeles. As someone who came from a medically underserved community, I know feel priveleged and honored to be an OBGYN resident, as I get to advocate for the reproductive rights of such individuals. I chose the field of OBGYN because it seamlessly merged all of my passions including advocacy, diversty and inclusion efforts, immigrant rights and reproductive rights. As I look onto the future, I am excited to pursuse MFM as a sub-specialty to continue to follow these passions and engage in research that will advance the field.
