CJ Battey, PhD, is a senior computational scientist at Myriad Genetics working on new methods for cell-free DNA diagnostic assays. He leads development of aneuploidy calling for the Firstgene combined prenatal screening assay and contributes to algorithm development for Myriad's Precise molecular residual disease (MRD) assay. CJ has a BA in integrative biology from U.C. Berkeley and a PhD in biology from the University of Washington. He received an F32 fellowship from the national institutes of health supporting postdoctoral work in spatial population genetics at the University of Oregon prior to joining Myriad Genetics in 2020.
