I am a second year medical student in the MD/PhD program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. My clinical interests are still very broad, but at present I think I am interested in internal medicine, possibly with a fellowship in endocrinology or cardiology. For my PhD I will be studying lipid metabolism and ferroptosis in various biological contexts. I am excited for my first SMFM conference this year, as maternal-fetal medicine represents one area which I am interested in exploring as a direction for future research.
