Jeroen Vanderhoeven MD, Clinical Perinatologist, Pediatrix Medical Group at Swedish Medical Center, Seattle, Washington.

My interests are in prenatal diagnosis and prematurity prevention. I have been involved in both bench research on prematurity biomechanical factors and microscopy as well as clinical outcomes data involved with identification of perinatal exposures and maternal and newborn health outcomes. I am a current research mentor for our OB residency and serve as site PI in a number of perinatal studies at Swedish Medical Center with active roles in research design, implementation, and evaluation.

As Swedish Medical Center is a busy community hospital with >8000 deliveries per year and home to a new obestetrics/gynecology residency program (as of 2021), our center has the potential to substantially grow its perinatal research footprint.
