Dr. Jimmy Espinoza is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He earned his medical degree at San Fernando Faculty of Medicine, University of San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI. Dr. Espinoza earned the degree of Master in Science in Reproductive Health at the University of Cardiff, Wales, where he graduated with distinction, followed by a Diploma in Fetal Medicine under the auspices of the Fetal Medicine Foundation in London, UK.
Dr. Espinoza's clinical interests include in-utero interventions for the management of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, lower fetal urinary tract obstructions, fetal pleural effusions, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, and fetal neural tube defects. Additional clinical and research interests include the use biomarkers in the identification of individuals at increased risk for preeclampsia with severe features, the role of the fetus in the mechanisms of disease in preeclampsia, as well as the use of imaging modalities in the prenatal diagnosis of congenital defects.
