I am currently pursuing a M.S. in Public Health Education and Promotion at Texas State University. I have a B.S. in Public Health and minor in Human Development and Family Sciences from Texas State University. I am a Certified Health Education Specialist. While in graduate school, I worked as an instructional assistant for Health Behavior Theory, Introduction to Public Health, Disease Prevention, and Health disparities. I aim to further my education by pursuing a PhD in Translational Health Science, where I plan to research maternal health and the racial and ethnic disparities that hinder wellness. She has developed a deep appreciation for earning her education at a Hispanic-serving institution and is dedicated to using her skills to educate students who share her background as a Hispanic first-generation student.
