Leonardo Antelo M.D. PGY-3 Mount Sinai West Hospital Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to Florida when I was three years old. I attended Penn State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biotechnology and Minor in Biochemistry. During my first post-graduate year, I worked at the Penn State University Center of Eukaryotic Gene Regulation as a Research Technician investigating genomic sequencing. I then worked for two years as a Clinical Research Assistant at The University of Pennsylvania Abramson Cancer Center with a focus in Melanoma Immunotherapy clinical trials.
I attended Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and am currently a 3rd year Resident Physician at Mount Sinai West Hospital in New York City. I plan to apply for Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship this upcoming year. Some of my specific clinical/research interests include the use of Artificial Intelligence in medicine, interventions for preterm birth, and multifetal gestations.
