She obtained her medical degree from University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a Master of Public Health degree from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee, USA. She interned with Tennessee Department of Health Epidemiology department where she studied health disparities in breast cancer care in Tennessee.
She has presented in international and regional conferences with awards won. She has benefited from ACOG Scholarship for Annual SNOW Meeting in Michigan and won government scholarships during her medical education. She also received full scholarship for her MPH study from ETSU.
Her interests are in high-risk obstetrics/maternal-fetal medicine, health disparities, health advocacy, health policies, and mentorship.
