Dr. Stephanie Cruz is currently the first fetal surgery fellow at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She completed her residency in general surgery at New York Medical College/St. Joseph’s. She did three years of postdoctoral research fellowship on Fetal Surgery with Dr. Olutoye at Texas Children’s. She also completed a clinical fellowship in Surgical Critical Care as well as in Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Cruz’s clinical interest include in-utero surgery for severe congenital malformations, early detection of necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm infants and minimally invasive surgical approaches to correct congenital defects such as diaphragmatic hernias and lung lesions.
