Morten Rasmussen, VP of Research at Mirvie inc. Received his PhD in molecular biology from University of Copenhagen and completed postdoctoral work in statistical genomics at Stanford University. At Mirvie the focus has been on leading the research team to use advanced molecular biology to understand the etiology of different pregnancyt complications. Recent publications and talks have demonstrated the ability to establish a molecular clock of pregnancy to predict gestational age from a single blood sample, and also to understand when gene expression gets out of sync, leading to increased risk of complications like preterm birth, preeclampsia or growth restriction.
