Karin Fox, M.D., M.Ed. is Professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston with clinical and research interests in Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders, complex surgical deliveries, postpartum hemorrhage, maternal transport and the management of pregnancy in women with diabetes and obesity. She has served on the SMFM Education Committee, and currently serves as board member for the Pan-American Society for Placenta Accreta Spectrum, International Society for Placenta Accreta. Prior to becoming a physican, she served in active duty in the U.S. Army as a medic and ambulance driver. Whenver she can, she swims, skates or paddleboards around Galveston, and enjoys travel and time with family.
