Christian (Chris) Chisholm MD is the John M. Nokes MD Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Vice-Chair for Obstetrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He is a co-investigator in the UVa-icddr,b partnership in the Eunice Kennedy Shriver NICHD Global Network for Women's and Children's Health Research, and serves as PI for the ABLE Trial assessing the impact of screening and treatment for asymptomatic bacteriuria in pregnancy on the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes (small vulnerable newborn / stillbirth) in the 7 LMIC sites / 6 countries of the Global Network (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Zambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Guatemala). Dr. Chisholm also is active in ACOG, serving as Treasurer for District IV.
