Annika Willy, Medical Student at Oregon Health and Science University, completed her undergraduate studies at Washington State University, where she majored in Neuroscience and Political Science. During her time at WSU, she worked in clinical communication education at the university’s Veterinary program, developing her passion for teaching and patient-centered care. Growing up in a farming community, Annika was inspired to address disparities in maternal and fetal health, particularly in rural settings. Her research focuses on obstetric outcomes and the role of hospital demographics in care quality. Outside of medicine, Annika enjoys scuba diving, running, and fostering community connections.
