I, Tifferet Willner MD, am an OBGYN resident at Soroka University Medical Center in Beer Sheva, Israel. I studied medicine at Ben Gurion University, also in Beer Sheva. Our patient pool spans the southern region of Israel, known as the "Negev", and we care for such diverse population as Jewish, Bedouin Arab and imigrants. I am witness daily to people's ability to set aside the political, religious and ethnic tensions of the Middle East and work together to promote the health of all women. I love our sociopolitical oasis in the middle of the Israeli desert.
