Deepraj Pawar, MD is 3rd year OBGYN resident at the University of Hawaii. She recieved her MD from Oregon Health and Science Univeristy after graduating with a BA in Biophysics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Whitman College. She has presented several projects exploring maternal adverse outcomes and socioeconomic status at prior SMFM and ACOG conferences. At OHSU, she published a manuscript studying the association between ZIP code SES and adverse pregnancy outcomes in the Portland area. Her career interests include healthcare disparities, high-risk pregnancy, and advocacy. Outside of resarch, she is also the current ACOG Junior Fellow District VIII Vice Chair, and is the former Hawaii Section Legislative Chair.
