Laura Peyton Ellis, MD is a third year resident at the University of Connecticut. She attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University where her research and clinical work focused on patient with opioid use disorder. She then went on to pursue pain management, prenatal care provision, and rural maternal care research interests in her residency. She hopes to expand provision of prenatal care, especially for rural patients and patient with substance use disorder.
