Dr. Evan J. Keil, MD, is a third-year OB-GYN resident at the University of Michigan, dedicated to quality improvement and global health. A 2017 graduate with honors from the University of St. Thomas and a 2022 graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, Dr. Keil has a passion for international health that has driven his research and clinical work. His medical school research included novel anti-tuberculosis therapies, surgical access in lower- and middle-income countries, and international partnerships through social media.
Dr. Keil’s recent projects focus on quality improvement with meaningful clinical impact, including postpartum maternal hemorrhage management, the use of point-of-care ultrasound in residency, and developing international observership models for trainees from lower- and middle-income countries in the United States. These commitments reflect his dedication to advancing patient outcomes through impactful research. Outside of medicine, Dr. Keil is actively involved in his Christian faith and community, enjoying time with his wife, Maddie, and their two young daughters.
