Andrea Edlow is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School, and a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she serves as Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Ob/Gyn. Dr Edlow’s laboratory uses preclinical models and human cohorts to examine the effects of maternal immune activation on fetoplacental development and offspring neurodevelopmental outcomes, and how these effects are modified by fetal and offspring sex. Her research is funded by NIAID, NICHD, NIMH, NIDDK, NIDA/HEAL, the March of Dimes, and the Simons Foundation. Dr. Edlow is the PI of the Mass General Brigham COVID-19 Pregnancy Biorepository and BUMP (Biorepository for Understanding Maternal Pregnancy Immunity), containing comprehensive sample sets from over 1500 participants.
