Dr. Marvin Williams is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He specializes in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He attended medical school at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. Dr. Williams then completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. He also completed a fellowship at Ohio State University in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG) with an additional subspecialty in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He has served his country in the U.S. Army in various military operations and deployments. Dr. Williams later retired with over 20 years of faithful service. He has served as the Director of Clinical Services, Interim Division Director of the Maternal-Fetal Section, and the Medical Director of Clinical Services for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Williams’ clinical areas of interest include Preterm Labor, Prenatal Diagnosis, Patient Safety, and Opioid Use Disorders in Pregnancy. He is a member of the SMFM and ACOG Board of Directors. He received numerous honors and awards, including the Bronze Star Medal; Meritorious Service Medal; Expert Field Medical Badge; Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA) Honor the Medical Society University of Oklahoma, the Chairman’s Distinguished Teaching Award: For sustained superior teaching, 2008-2018, University of Oklahoma Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Academy of Teaching Scholars: Dewayne Andrews, MD Excellence in Teaching Award. The Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Excellence in Teaching Award. The Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics & Gynecology (CREOG) National Faculty Award. He serves as a board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Williams is married to his loving wife, Kaye, for greater than 21 years, and they have two wonderful sons (Matthew (20) and Miles (18)).
