Elizabeth Kelly MD,MS, Professor and Executive Vice Chair, Co-Founder Cradle Cincinnati, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
I have committed my professional career to providing care for women who live in poverty and gaining a deep understanding of the importance of the contribution of social determinants of health to adverse maternal, women, and infant outcomes. I lead a clinical team composed of nurse practioners, physicians, community health workers, case managers, and tobacco treatment specialists who provide care in twelve community-based health centers, as well as the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. I am the co-founder and interim executive director of Cradle Cincinnati; a collective impact collaborative formed in 2013 to address the disparity and high rates of infant mortality in Hamilton County, Ohio. The focus of Cradle Cincinnati has been racism and the contribution it has to the disparity gap and operationalizing strategies to enable equity.
