Serdar H. Ural, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. is Vice Chair-Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Director-Perinatal Ultrasonography for Penn State Health, Director-Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Training Program, Chair-Promotion and Tenure Committee and is Tenured Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Radiology
in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.
He obtained his M.D. degree from the University of Ankara, Turkiye and completed his Residency training in Ob/Gyn at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in Syracuse, New York. Following this he completed his MFM Fellowship training at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He was on the Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia before joining the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine as MFM Division Director.
He is Co-Chair of the SMFM Communications & Membership Committee, and previously was Chair of the SMFM Membership and ByLaws Committee. He was named Diversity Champion at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. Additionally he is an Ambassador for the International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Ural has over 300 publications, abstracts and chapters published. He has given about 500 lectures at international, national, regional and local meetings. His research includes translational and clinical sciences with research funding that is over several million dollars including grants from national public and private levels.
