Zahava P. Michaelson, BA

Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Zahava Presser Michaelson, BA is a fourth-year medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) in New York City. She spent a Scholarly Year from 2023-2024 conducting research in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine department at ISMMS under Dr. Helen Feltovich, sponsored by the Iris Fund. Her work explored applications of artificial intelligence to transvaginal ultrasound images as a means to standardize cervical measurements and ultimately better predict and prevent spontaneous preterm birth. Zahava completed the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program at Columbia University after earning her BA in 2017 from Princeton University, where she studied English and Visual Arts.
