University Of California, Davis
Rainney Chiu is a second-year medical student at UC Davis with a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree also from UC Davis. During her MPH program, she completed her practicum on risk factors for STI reinfection, which inspired her passion for preventative reproductive health.
She serves as the co-president of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) at UC Davis, where she has organized a Q&A panel with female physicians and residents, a papaya aspiration workshop for medical students, and initiated a narrative review on HPV and non-anogenital cancers. Additionally, Rainney is a Co-Director at Willow Clinic, a student-run clinic serving the unhoused population of Sacramento. As the Women's Health Clinic Manager, she organizes monthly OB-GYN clinics to improve women's healthcare for underserved patients.
Her research interests include OB-GYN topics, particularly fetal anomalies and societal impacts on women’s health. Rainney is dedicated to advancing reproductive health equity and integrating clinical care with public health research throughout her career.
