I am Claire Thuillier, M.D., MSc, a PhD candidate specializing in maternal morbidity and mortality associated with delivery modes. I serve as Chief of the Maternity Unit at the American Hospital of Paris (AHP) while dividing my time between clinical practice and research at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at AHP, the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ), and AP-HP (Paris Hospitals), France
I earned my medical degree from Timone University in Marseille and completed my residency in Paris. I further specialized through fellowships in obstetrics and fetal medicine at Poissy (University Referral Hospital) and UVSQ-Paris Saclay, where I also served as Chief of the High-Risk Pregnancies Department. In addition, I obtained a postgraduate diploma in fetal medicine and a Master of Science in Statistics and Epidemiology from the University of Paris V (Cochrane Department of Paris).
My research interests focus on optimizing labor management, particularly the duration of labor and the second stage. Recently, I have worked on patient satisfaction and the acceptance of labor management practices. Through my clinical and academic work, I aim to contribute to evidence-based practices and improve maternal outcomes in obstetrics.
