Dr. Cheng received her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Wellesley College. She received her M.D. with Distinction in Global Health at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in 2020 at University Hospitals, Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, in Cleveland, OH, and continued working there as an OB/GYN generalist. Dr. Cheng joined the faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio as a Specialist and is currently completing her fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Her current interests include opioid use in pregnancy, periviability, placenta accreta spectrum, as well as recognizing and improving racial disparities in maternal health.
