Dr. Howard Berger completed medical School and Obstetric and Gynecology residency in Israel.
Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Mt Sinai Hospital,
Toronto.
Since 2006 Dr. Berger leads the division of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetric Ultrasound at St.
Michael’s hospital, Toronto and is also the director of the Advanced High Risk Obstetric Fellowship
Program.
He is a full Professor in the University Of Toronto Department Of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an
Adjunct staff at the Li Ka Shing Research Institute.
He has published over 140 peer reviewed publications, authored practice guidelines and generated
research funding in excess of 23 million CAD as PI, Co-PI and collaborator. Research interests include,
Diabetes in Pregnancy, Prenatal ultrasound, Pregnancy complications and obesity/adiposity
