Virginia Lijewski is a Research Services Principal Clinical Science Professional at the University of Colorado and serves as a Data Manager at the Colorado Fetal Care Center at Children’s Hospital Colorado. With over 15 years of expertise in epidemiology and data management, Virginia has significantly advanced the understanding of how social determinants of health impact pregnancy-related care.
Virginia earned a Master's in Epidemiology from Boston University and subsequently relocated to Colorado to pursue her Ph.D. in Clinical Science and Health Information Technology at the University of Colorado. As a Ph.D. candidate, her research concentrates on disparities in substance use detection during pregnancy. Her work has been published in several prestigious journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Journal of Perinatology.
Virginia is dedicated to addressing health disparities and improving healthcare delivery for pregnant individuals through her research and professional endeavors. At this conference, she looks forward to sharing her insights on the intersection of epidemiology and clinical practice and engaging with fellow researchers and healthcare professionals.
