Jecca Steinberg MD, MSc is a Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Originally from Northampton, Massachusetts, Jecca made her way to Texas for college where she graduated magna cum laude from Rice University with a B.A. in Biological Sciences. After college, Jecca remained in Houston to found Community Bridges - an undergraduate internship program that continues to connect Rice University undergraduates to community leaders in the Fifth Ward of Houston to complete locally-inspired projects aimed at ameliorating poverty and revitalizing the community. The Marshall Scholarship brought Jecca across the pond to earn a Masters of Science in Global Health and Development with a focus on maternal child health at University College London and a Masters of Science in Epidemiology at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She returned to the US for medical school at Stanford University and residency at Northwestern where she engaged in numerous projects to address systemic poverty and injustice through obstetrics and gynecology. Jecca feels grateful to pursue her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Northwestern Medicine surrounded by incredible co-fellows and inspiring faculty. When she is not in the hospital or advocating in the community, Jecca can be found with her wonderful partner Will, their two lovely kids and their pup Nola cooking, hiking and exploring near and far.
