Helen Samuel grew up in the California Bay Area and Washington D.C Metropolitian Area, and graduated with a BS from Virginia Tech in Biological Sciences. She is currently pursing her M.D. at Oregon Health and Science University. Her primary research interests include family planning, prenatal care, and race and socioeconomic disparities role in maternal and neoenatal outcomes. In her free time, Helen enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
