Dr. Rachel Harrison is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist working as an Assistant Clinical Professor for Advocate Aurora Health in the Chicagoland area who focuses on maternal care and high-risk pregnancy conditions. In particular, her research interests include maternal conditions that are associated with increased maternal morbidity and mortality. She has demonstrated her commitment to evidence-based medicine with years of research experience and academic training at the University of Illinois at Chicago for residency and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee for MFM fellowship.
Her clinical and research passions include hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, preterm delivery, diabetes, and placenta accreta spectrum disorder. She is currently interested in reducing the disparity of non-Hispanic black pregnancy outcomes including those associated with cesarean delivery and preterm delivery. She is an avid article reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed journals and is currently serving on the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Education Committee.
