Jacob Garcia is a 3rd year Maternal Fetal Medicine fellow at The University of Hawaii-JABSOM. He graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern medical school and completed residency at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. His research interests are in population health and environmental factors that impact it. His primary work is on placenta microplastics detection and analysis. He hopes to elucidate how pollutants affect distict maternal-fetal populations in order improve health outcomes.
