Beth Pineles, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of the Penn Medicine Placenta Accreta Spectrum Center of Excellence in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She completed fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and residency at the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on deimplementation of inappropriate obstetric practices, including activity restriction for the prevention of preterm birth and universal cesarean-hysterectomy for people with placenta accreta spectrum disorders.
