Dr. Ahmet Baschat is director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Fetal Therapy, a Board certfied specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medcine and professor in Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. His areas of clinical expertise include prenatal diagnosis, fetal medicine and fetal therapy of a wide range of conditions including twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), congenital diaphragmatic hernia and spina bifida. In addition, Dr Baschat is an epert in placental dysfunction affecting maternal health in the form or pre-eclampsia as well as fetal growth restriction. He is the recipient of the Ian Donald Gold medal award of the International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and GYnecology for his contribution to prenatal ultrasound imaging.
