Dr. Kuba is Associate Director of Perinatal Quality at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, NY. He was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He completed medical school at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He was then a general OB/GYN at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, after which he returned to Montefiore to complete his fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine. He remained on faculty at Montefiore for two years before moving to Northwell’s Long Island Jewish Medical Center in September of 2022 as Associate Director of Perinatal Quality.
Dr. Kuba has published on the use of a standardized labor algorithm and has given numerous grand round on the topic of evidence-based labor management. He is leading a Northwell System-wide workgroup on Labor Optimization and promoting Evidence-Based Labor practices. Their group aims to create a standardized evidence-based labor management guideline for the Northwell Health System.
