Emily is a third-year resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Johns Hopkins University and an aspiring Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. Raised in Milford, MI, she later moved with her family to Seoul, Korea and Shanghai, China before returning to the University of Michigan to pursue honors studies in global health and neuroscience. Following graduation, she completed a Fulbright English teaching fellowship in Mexico and then moved to Boston to complete her medical training at Harvard Medical School. In residency, she was awarded the Frank L. Coulson Jr. Award for Clinical Excellence. Her clinical and research interests include intimate partner violence in obstetric populations, pregnancy pharmacology, and advocacy within reproductive health.
